Shimr tells you when the northern or southern lights may be visible from your place tonight, checking aurora activity at your latitude, cloud cover above you and darkness.

Common questions
Why did I not get an alert? We alert only when activity, clear sky and darkness line up for your place — and at most once a night per place. Check that alerts are on in the app and that notifications are allowed in iOS Settings.
The app said there was a chance, but I saw nothing. Forecasts can be wrong: the aurora can change within minutes. We always show a chance, never a promise. Tapping “I saw the aurora” helps us check our accuracy.
How do I cancel? In iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or in the app: Settings → Manage subscription.
How do I delete my data? In the app: Settings → Delete my data. Places and settings are removed from your phone and from our server.
